An unusual little haven from offices and construction work, you’ll find the Office on Harrogate in West Leederville. The cafe has a refined day to night feel to it, with plenty of wood and an airy lightness despite its narrow shape.
When we visited it was quiet but with a stream of workers getting takeaway coffees while we settled in for breakfast.
Our coffees had a nice flavour and a creamy foam but were served too hot.
Our first meal was the corn fritters served with salad and poached eggs. The fritters were lovely with a nice texture and the poached eggs were gooey. We found there was a little too much greenery on the plate and were initially concerned about the balsamic but it really pulled everything together. This was a good dish, well executed and an enjoyable breakfast.
We also tried the coconut pancakes with berry coulis and Orange zest. The coconut pancakes were light and tasty with a hint of coconut. The berry coulis was generous with whole berries that popped in your mouth. This was a cut above your usual pancake fair and the serving was more than generous.
The Office on Harrogate is a great spot for a pre-work breakfast or even a drink after work.
