Walking down Lonsdale street and in need of a caffeine fix, we spied Lt Nick. This narrow little coffee shop is typical of Melbourne, with the counter taking up most of the space and a smattering of wooden furniture squeezed around the edges.
The staff were great, relaxed and friendly, happy to chat with us. There were lots of sweet and savoury treats available too and we couldn’t help but try some of them out.
The coffee was well presented and creamy. The flavour delicious from the first to the last mouthful and what you’d expect for specialty coffee.
We also tried a blonde and a croissant.
While the food was good, it was pretty expensive for what it was, though we really enjoyed the coffee. Lt Nics is a good stopover while exploring the sights in Melbourne, but is better suited to takeaway coffee due to the limited amount of dining space.
